Purpose

The Shipping Technician is responsible for operating yard vehicles, pulling orders, loading and unloading trucks, taking inventory, preparing LTL shipments and moving trailers to designated loading/unloading sites as directed. The Shipper must adhere to EHS policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.

Responsibilities

• Moves trailer to designated loading docks between the Plant and Consolidation Center
• Spots and switches trailers as directed
• Performs Driver Vehicle Inspection daily
• Maintain warehouse inventory organization
• Adhere to warehouse housekeeping expectations
• Keep Spotter vehicle clean
• Loads/unloads and sorts/stacks pallets
• Assists team in unloading/loading of pallets
• Assists team in keeping loading bay clean
• Prepare LTL shipments
• Conduct inventory

Requirements

• High School Diploma with previous manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
• Desire and ability to grow into positions of greater responsibility will also be evaluated
• Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL)
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to accurately record data
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs
• The volume of work requires the handling of multiple tasks on multiple products
