The role:
The Material Handler is responsible for off-loading and packaging top quality foam boards with optimal efficiency on the Fome-Cor Line. The Material Handler must adhere to EHS policies, procedures, and regulations at all times.
- Ensure compliance to all EHS policies and procedures.
- Move, stack, and store material and finished products.
- Operate forklift daily, as needed
- Operate stretch wrap machine, as needed
- Keep work area clean and neat throughout the shift.
- Supply machines with required and correct materials.
- Communicate with Production Coordinator daily.
- Respond to line breaks and board buckles.
- Place finished products in designated rows neatly and evenly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with previous manufacturing facility experience is preferred.
- Basic math skills required.
- Accurately document and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Proficient in the safe use of utility knives, hand and automatic banders, band cutters, staple gun, shrink wrapper and radial saw.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
- The volume of work requires the handling of multiple tasks on multiple products.
