We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as Large Format Print Technician. As a Print Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery while maintaining maximum productivity in our production process. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow within our organization while contributing to our overall success.

The Large Format Print Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining large format digital printing equipment to produce high-quality prints for manufacturing applications. This role requires strong technical knowledge of printer profiling, color management, and adjustments to ensure consistent, accurate output. The technician will also utilize Adobe Photoshop and related software to make image corrections and adjustments prior to production. You will also contribute to continuous improvement, workplace safety, and compliance with environmental and product safety standards.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot large format printers (dye-sublimation, UV, solvent, or other wide-format equipment).
  • Perform printer profiling, calibration, and color management to achieve accurate and consistent color reproduction.
  • Adjust and optimize print files using Adobe Photoshop and other design tools as needed.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the print process to ensure finished products meet established standards.
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to meet customer requirements and project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, settings, and profiles for repeatability.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on printing equipment.
  • Manage materials and media, including proper loading, handling, and storage.
  • Assist with finishing processes (cutting, laminating, mounting) as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in printing preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in large format printing, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of color profiling, ICC color management, and print calibration.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for image correction and adjustments; Illustrator/InDesign experience a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RIP software - ERGOSOFT
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for printer operation and maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements in plastics or industrial production environments.
  • Ability to lift and handle large rolls of media/materials (up to 50lbs).
  • Standing, bending, and repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing floor environment with exposure to inks, solvents, plastic resins, and production equipment.
